Hebrews 11:1 says something very interesting about faith – it says it is substantial.  We don’t usually think that way regarding faith.  We think of it as mystical, as abstract and intangible.  But the writer to the Hebrews actually tells us that faith is what makes the abstract and intangible come to life.  It is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Do you want evidence of the hand of God?  Have faith in Him!  Do you want evidence that the Bible is true?  Have faith that what God says is real and He will make it real to you!  Do you want to see the substance of the Christian life?  That happens when you exercise faith in the living God.  Faith isn’t mystical; it is what makes the mystical come alive!
