This is an UNUSUAL presidential election year.  Our choices for President are…interesting.  Some have indicated that they are going to sit this one out – that they don’t like either candidate – that there is no good choice for President.  May I weigh in?  Far be it from me to tell you how to vote, or for whom.  But I think it is incumbent upon me to share this bit of Biblical wisdom: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked person rules, the people groan. When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases…” (Prov. 29: 2, 16a).  Let me encourage you to vote.  In the last two elections, it is estimated that 40-50 million “evangelicals” (defined as people whose Biblical faith is important to them) did not vote.  That bloc, by their absence, swayed the election in favor of a man whose values have proven to be contrary to Scripture.  Vote righteousness.  Vote Godly, Biblical values.  If you struggle with the person, consider the values and the position relative to Biblical principles and vote on that basis, but cast your ballot.  It’s your responsibility as a citizen under God.
