Judges 2:10 tells us that “When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel.”
The job of passing the torch begins with parents. From time to time, we host a guest here who can point back to his parents – people we know – and say, “I know the LORD and His works because my mom and dad were faithful.” I don’t know Sarah’s mom and dad (at least I don’t think I do), but I know Tyler’s parents. We went to school together years ago, and it is exciting to me to see a member of the next generation that knows the LORD and desires to serve Him because the previous generation introduced him to Christ. God help us to be faithful so the generation that follows will know and walk with Him.
