“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1)

This past week, we got to see God’s hand at work within our church family on behalf of one of our missionaries.  It blessed my heart, encouraged my faith – and that of our missionaries – and met a real and pressing need.  Let me share the story.  The Albrights were scheduled to be with us for the Midweek Service on July 20, however, a sudden and significant car problem threatened to sideline them for our meeting and several to come.  We began to pray along with them.  They found a reputable Christian mechanic, but the cost to repair the van approached $900 – more than they had in their account.

But God knew that in advance.  An anonymous gift arrived at our church office just a week earlier that was sufficient to meet that need and more.  Before Kent and Belen knew they had a problem, God had already met the need.  Coincidence?  The world would chalk it up to chance, but I know God has promised to “supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  That’s evidence of God’s faithfulness.
