GOSPEL-SHARING TIPS

“How do I share the Gospel with someone? Where do I start?”A lot of Christians who have never shared the Gospel are not silent out of overt disobedience. That is, they aren’t trying to disobey the Lord’s command to make disciples. They just don’t know where to start. Well, here are a few tips.

1. Create a prayer list of people you want to see come to Christ. Don’t make it 500 names long, even if you can. Make it5 names long and concentrate on praying for those people every day.

2. Ask God to give you a heart for the lost. So, pray for yourself regarding evangelism. You will likely witness more if you have a passion to do it. Ask God for that passion. We do the things we want to do. If you want to share the Gospel, you probably will.

3. Keep your ears open for open doors – conversations that point toward the Gospel. We miss a lot of opportunities because we aren’t sensitive to how God might be opening a door to share.

4. “Always be ready with an answer.” Don’t be scared off by that. Just know the Gospel, know your own testimony, and be ready to look it up if you don’t know.

Sharing the Gospel is “one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.” It’s not your responsibility to save folks. It’s just your responsibility to tell them how they can be saved. The rest is up to God.
